In der ersten Förderperiode (2024-2028) umfasst der TRR379 20 Forschungsprojekte, die durch vier zentrale Serviceprojekte unterstützt werden. Die einzelnen Forschungsprojekte sind drei übergeordneten Forschungsbereichen innerhalb des Konsortiums zugeordnet:
- Bereich A: Negative valence system (NVS)
- Bereich B: Cognitive system (CS)
- Bereich C: Interaction of NVS and CS
